Therapy for College Students

In-person in Berkeley & online across CAlifornia

It’s okay if this isn’t
the best time of your life

Are you?

  • Up late overthinking, then barely making it through the next day?

  • Using weed or alcohol to quiet your thoughts?

  • Juggling school, chores, a job, and still feeling behind?

  • Unsure what to major in…or what you want at all?

  • Feeling alone because you haven’t found your people yet?

College can feel like a strange mix of excitement and overwhelm. You’re finally on your own. But that freedom comes with a lot of new responsibilities, like managing your time, staying on top of school, making meals, and figuring out how to make friends. You’ve been told it’s supposed to be the best time of your life, but all you feel is exhausted and defeated.

If any of that sounds familiar, you’re not alone.
Therapy gives you space to reflect, say what’s really on your mind, and get support.

I’m here to help with:

+ career decisions

+ Grief & loss

+ Self-esteem

+ Identity

+ Anxiety

+ depression

+ Dating

+ Relationships

Imagine…

01

Getting actual sleep the night before a big exam.

02

Having friends who genuinely know you.

03

Having clean underwear in your drawer and food in the fridge, without it feeling like a miracle.

04

Knowing what you want out of life, or at least feeling closer to figuring it out.

…then let’s get to work.

A group of four friends enjoy a sunset on a hilltop, with some holding drinks and chatting, surrounded by backpacks and bottles.

If school, friends, and life have been piling up, you’re not the only one.

Therapy gives you space to sort through it,
without pressure or judgment.

  • Usually sessions are 50 minutes long. They can occur in person at my office or over a telehealth platform, whichever feels best for you. Therapy is a weird situation, chatting with a stranger, so we can take it slow, get to know one another and go from there. Description text goes here

  • Nope. I have clients say, “I’m not sure what’s wrong but I feel really bad.”

You can come in with a specific concern or just a general sense that something feels off. We’ll figure it out together. You don’t need a script or a perfect explanation. Also, there is no TMI. I can and have talked about all kinds of stuff, like exploring  your sexual or gender identity, relationship dramas, panic attacks, or questioning your use of alcohol or weed, to name a few. ption text goes here

  • I accept UC Berkeley’s SHIP insurance and will just ask for a low copay. If you have other insurance, I can provide a super bill that you can submit for possible reimbursement. Just check with your plan to see what’s covered.
